On November 25, 2022, Hotel Bergs Riga hosted the Re-GROUP project multiplier event for youth workers – “Violence prevention in the environment of young people”.
More than 35 youth and social workers, educators, psychologists and other professionals from all over Latvia improved their competences in the prevention of violence and promoting an inclusive environment in working with teenagers and young people.
During the event, participants:
Obtained information about the international project Re-GROUP: https://regroup-project.eu
Improved their competences in the prevention of the risks of mobbing (in cooperation with www.nekluse,lv ) and human trafficking (MARTA) in working with young people;
Learned about the use of interactive tools for specialists – the associative cards “Dialogue about DIVERSITY” (Dia+Logs) for actualizing discrimination and integration issues.
Discussed the competencies required for a “good youth worker” and identified needs in the field of violence prevention in Latvia
Networked and strengthened their membership in the Centrs MARTA network of youth workers.
